Director – Michiel Blanchart

After finishing his high school studies at the Lycée En Forêt (France), with several amateur short films, Michiel decides to move to Belgium, his native country, to study at the IAD. In 2015, under the supervision of Benoit Mariage (famous Belgian director), he co-directs the short film “LULU” with Louise Dandraën. The film will be selected in several festivals and will win the BeTV prize at the BSFF. In 2016, he directed his graduation film “DYNAMAN”, which received the highest score among the fiction films in the IAD jury that year. The film will later be purchased by Origine FILMS, selected at BIFFF, BSFF and broadcast on BeTV as well as in Air France’s aircrafts. During the summer of 2018, after a whimsical inspiration, Michiel directed the short film “CUL”, produced by Formosa Productions and Daylight Films. The film has been selected at the BSFF (Betv Award Winner), Festival Tous Courts d’Aix-en-Provence and Festival de Comédie de Lie ̀ ge. His most recent project « T’es morte Hélène » has won the Residence SOFILM Grand-Est, and has been supported by Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles and Canal+.
