Joël, a small town journalist, goes to cover a case in the French countryside. When he stops after running over a dog on the road, he finds himself trapped in the stories he usually writes.

Director Biography – Mathieu Mégemont

Mathieu Mégemont is a writer, director and musician. After two documentaries produced and directed in pairs, he launched into fiction. After a G.R.E.C. internship, he directed ÖVO, his first short film, produced by Shellac Sud. After a stint at the Atelier Scénario at La Fémis, he developed FOOD, a feature-length genre film with Insolence Productions, which received CNC’s Aide à la réécriture. DIVERSION, winner of the SoFilm/Canal+ residencies can be seen as the first filmed stone of this collaboration.
At the same time, he is a script consultant for various production companies and teaches dramaturgy. He is also co-programmer of a cycle of films of Genre in the broad sense at Utopia Bordeaux. As a musician, he tours internationally.
